Being resilient requires robust mental health. As adults we serve as role models to our children. In business, if we are holding a leadership position, we serve as role models to our employees. To build resilience, and to form strong and meaningful relationships with family members, business partners and coworkers, we should master the skills that help us to build robust mental health. We need to develop our own techniques of self-care and put them into practice. Sometimes we can do this on our own, but quite often we need guidance. One way of getting the guidance we need is to join a retreat.

It might sound like a cliché, but this is a great starting point for a personal transformation. It all starts with a decision. The decision that we will begin to take care of ourselves.
